You might recognize Mason McNulty from his role on the popular TV show “Schooled” or his film “Gacy: Terror in Suburbia” but let me introduce you to Mason McNulty the singer. Mason released his debut single called “Lessons of Love” in March and is currently working on his next one. In addition to his new music, he is also in the series “After Them” now streaming on YouTube on the Love XO channel. Thank you, Mason, for finding time in your busy schedule for this interview!
1. When did you first start making music?
I first started making music after being influenced by my team and my friends in Duplexity.
2. What influences have inspired your sound the most?
What inspired me with my sound was I have always had a love for all music but recently have really been loving country. Jelly Roll has been a huge influence on why I started listening to country.
3. Is there a constant meaning or message behind your music?
Yes, the message behind my song “Lessons of Love” is to never give up. Love is out there for everyone.
4. What advice would you give to new artists?
The advice I would give to new artists is work hard and stay focused. The prize is always at the end.

5. What has been your best moment as a musician so far?
My best moment as a musician so far is watching people enjoy playing my song and hearing that they can relate to it. It makes me happy to think that I could have helped someone with encouragement to never give up.
6. What do you like most about playing music?
I LOVE playing music as I totally feel music is the gateway to everyone’s soul. That music is also a healer. And it is just plain fun to listen to.
7. What is the hardest part about being a musician?
The hardest part of being a musician is getting your music out there so others can hear it. I am excited that people are finally hearing my song and are loving it.
