Legendary musicians will take up the stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The artists include, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Prince, and Madonna are just a few former singers with huge back catalogues of timeless classics that can be combined for an impressive 13-minute mashup.
But the question is why Taylor Swift do not perform at the Super Bowl Match?
Taylor Swift has been a major topic of discussion leading up to the Super Bowl this year not because she will play during the halftime show, but rather because her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce will be playing in the game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift’s appearance during Kelce’s game would be amazing, but it’s unlikely that the pop sensation will perform during the Super Bowl halftime show anytime soon.
For many years, there have been rumours that Swift turned down the opportunity because she signed a “long-term partnership” with Coca-Cola, the competitor of Pepsi, the Super Bowl halftime sponsor. There were reports that she was offered the job when Apple Music became the official sponsor in 2022. According to TMZ, she was offered, but she turned it down as she was working on re-recording her album at the time. Swift’s packed schedule might be another obstacle.
The four albums that have been released so far are Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and 1989 (Taylor’s Version). She recently released her album Midnights, which won two Grammy awards, including a historic fourth Album of the Year award for Swift. She is also re-recording her first six albums. She still has Taylor’s versions of Lover and Reputation to come out. Additionally, she recently revealed that The Tortured Poets Department, her brand-new album, will be available on April 19.

The artist started the hugely popular Eras Tour from Tokyo, Japan. As the Eras Tour just resumed, she will perform for four days in Tokyo. She has a ton of hit songs to pick from, but it’s uncertain if and when she’ll perform during the Super Bowl. A Swiftie Super Bowl may not happen anytime soon, though, as she has her Eras Tour, re-recorded albums, and a new album coming out.
