Jake Diaz is best known as The Kidventurist on social media. A self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, Jake shares his life and adventures with his legions of fans who can’t seem to get enough of this young creator. With the help of his mom, he strives to make interesting content while staying true to who he is as a person. I recently had the opportunity to interview Jake and got the scoop on The Kidventurist!
When did you first start making social media content?
I started making content a few years ago when my adventures and traveling started. There are so many wonderful brands and places to visit, I wanted to share them with as many people as I could!
What influences have inspired your content the most?
Well, I am highly inspired by Mr. Beast! What I love about his content is that he gives back and gives a lot of money away! I personally would love to do the same by incorporating some non-profits in my giveaways!
Is there a constant meaning or message behind your content?
No. I am kind of all over the place. I mean yes, the focus was on adventure however I also share my acting career, family life and overall pieces of my life as well. There are so many sides to me, and I like to share a little of everything.
What advice would you give to new creators?
My advice is definitely to be a LEADER not a follower. I find many new creators come in and follow all the trends. I think there is something special in being unique and showing how you are different from everyone else. I am not at all a trend follower. I don’t do the “in” reels as I have 2 left feet and love being genuine and showing my goofy side. Be authentic, different, funny and raw. That makes the best content in my opinion.

What has been your best moment as a content creator so far?
For me, some of the best parts have been attending movie premieres and having the movie team acknowledge my content through comments on those posts. That is always one of the biggest honors for me.
What do you like most about creating content?
One of the things I like most is the ability to freely be who I am. I am high functioning on the autism spectrum, and I am different. I can be a nerd I can be goofy; I can try to be cool but either way I no matter what direction I go in it is always genuinely me. I like having the freedom to create whatever feels good to me and not having to fit in a box of whatever everyone else is doing. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching trendy videos, too. I’m just not super cool and trendy! Lol
What is the hardest part about being a social media influencer?
I’m going to be very honest here. I think the hardest part isn’t having a mother with such a brilliant mind, but having one who also has fibromyalgia. This often gives her low energy, so it takes extra work on both ends sometimes to try to put something together in terms of content that we feel is a great representation of The Kidventurist Brand. I always tell her that I wish we could clone her! Other than that, we have a blast creating content!
